The Great British Sewing Bee …… It’s back!!
One of my favourite TV shows is back! The BBC has finally confirmed that the super successful show will be back for it’s Fourth Series, the first episode airing on Monday 16th May at 9pm.
A ‘Meet the Sewers’ post was shared today on the official GBSB Facebook Page. The contestants this year range from 71 years old to 18 years old (being the youngest ever contestant on the show). They’re retired professionals, students, stay at home parents and there’s even a Junior Doctor. It fully reinforces the fact that ANYONE can learn to sew and enjoy it as a creative outlet, stress reliever or hobby.
My favourite part of the show has always been the creative or ‘upcycling’ challenges, it always amazes me what the contestants are able to create from a simple garment.
This year also introduces a new judge, Esme Young, who promises to bring a wealth of expertise and a great no-nonsense personality too!
I’ll be blogging along as the series progresses, share my favourite bits and the projects it’s inspired me to start. I’d love to hear about your GBSB inspired projects too!
